(a) Master of Business Administration (MBA - Full-Time)
An Applicant for admission to the MBA (Full-Time) programme
(i)            all candidates must have five credits including English and Mathematics at ‘O’ Level as basic requirement
(ii)           should have a Bachelor’s degree with honours, HND (minimum of upper credit) or professional qualification recognized by the Senate (ACA, ACIA, ACIS and ACIB) are eligible to apply.
(iii)          may be required to satisfy the Program/Faculty of Business Administration in a selection process before admission.
(iv)          is also expected to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

(b)           Master of Business Administration (MBA – Part Time)
An Applicant for admission to the MBA (Part-Time) programme
(i)            all candidates must have five credits including English and Mathematics at ‘O’ Level as basic requirement

(c)            Master of Business Administration (MBA- Executive (Week End Only)
An Applicant for admission to the MBA Executive(Part-Time) programme
(i)            all candidates must have five credits including English and Mathematics at ‘O’ Level as basic requirement
(ii)           should have a Bachelor’s degree with honours, HND (minimum of upper credit) or professional qualification recognized by the Senate (ACA, ACIA, ACIS and ACIB) are eligible to apply.
(iii)          should have at least 7 years post qualification working experience at managerial position.
(iv)          may be required to satisfy the Program/Faculty of Business Administration in a selection process before admission.
(v)           is also expected to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies

Admission into Master of Banking and Finance degree programme is open only to holders of Bachelor's degrees with honours in Finance and related disciplines (Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Insurance Actuarial Science and Economics) with a minimum of two (2) years post-qualification experience. In addition to the above, basic courses in Corporate Finance are required.

Admission is open to only holders of Bachelor's degree with honours in Banking and Finance and closely related disciplines i.e. Business Administration, Accounting, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Management, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management and Economics. In addition to the above, basic courses in Corporate Finance are required

Candidates must possess a first degree in any discipline obtained from University of Lagos or any other accredited institution.

Candidates must show evidence that they have completed their NYSC programme or produce evidence of exemption. Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process before admission.

A Candidate must be a graduate of the University of Lagos or any other recognized University, who holds an honours degree in the following disciplines: Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Business Administration

A candidate must be a graduate from the University of Lagos or any other recognized University, holding an honours degree in any discipline. Candidate must also have a minimum of two years postgraduate working experience, excluding NYSC programme year.

Only graduates of Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Economics,  Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and any degree in Engineering of this University or any other university recognized by Senate of the University are eligible to apply.  Relevant Professional Qualifications related to the area will be an added advantage.

Only graduates of Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and any degree in Engineering of this University or any other university recognized by Senate of the University are eligible to apply.  Relevant Professional Qualifications related to the area will be an added advantage.

(i)            First degree in Actuarial Science from a recognized University.

(ii)           First degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research and other related areas.  You may be required to audit some undergraduate courses to make up for the deficiencies

(i)            For the M.Sc. Accounting programme, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with honours in Accounting from this or any approved University,

(ii)           Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Accounting, of the University of Lagos with a CGPA not below 3.0 or approved equivalents may also apply

The MPIA Progrmame is of duration of 3 semester  for full time and 4 semesters for part time students.  Admission into the Master in Public and International Affairs Programme is open to candidates who already possess a Bachelor’s Degree of the University of Lagos or other approved Universities.  All applicants will be required to undergo a comprehensive selection process prescribed by the Postgraduate Studies.

The Master of Public and International Affairs (Part-Time) programme is open to all University graduate of all discipline with good grade and is for two academic session.  HND Graduate is not qualified for the MPIA programme and is a part time programme.

(a)           Master of Science (M. Sc.) Political Science (Full-Time (2 Semesters) &Part-Time 4 Semesters)
The programme is open only to holders of Bachelors’ degrees (1st Class, Second Class Upper and Second Class Lower) with honours in Political Science from this or any other approved universities.  The programme is for the period of three-semesters.  All candidates will be required to undergo a selection process.

(B)           Master of Science (M. Sc.) Political Science (International Relations Part-Time 4 Semesters)
The programme is open only to holders of Bachelors’ degrees. B.Sc. (Hons), B.A. (Hons) in the Social Sciences or any of the following disciplines: History and Strategic Studies, Philosophy, Law, Business Administration, Education/Political Science, English/French.  All candidates will be required to undergo a selection process

(i)            Only holders of B.Sc. or equivalent degree with honours in Sociology, Anthropology, Demography, Social Work or any combination of these or other related disciplines in the Humanities, Administration and Social Sciences are eligible to apply.

(ii)           Candidate will be required to undergo a qualified examination

Only holders of a degree with honours in Mass Communication or other honours degrees with a P.G.D. in Mass Communication (with a CGPA of at least 3.0) are eligible to apply.  Holder of a degree obtained from Outreach/Satellite campus are not eligible to apply.

Candidates are required to possess degree in Economics not below Second Class Lower Division or a closely related discipline (as judged by core courses and course duration from transcripts) or its equivalent from this University or other recognized Universities. Candidates with first degrees in other overtly quantitative disciplines, or third class in Economics,  are required to posses a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in  or third class in Economics, are required to possess a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Economics or a Second degree (Masters level) in a discipline closely related to Economics of the University of Lagos or a recognized University.  In addition, all candidates will be required to fulfill a specified standard in an entrance examination.

Holders of Bachelor's degree with honours in Psychology are eligible to apply. Holders of honours degree in other disciplines will be considered for admission as occasional students in the first year.

(i)       Candidate must hold B.Sc. honours degree in Psychology or any other Social Science including Business Administration, from a recognized University.

(ii)      Candidates with honours degree from reputable Universities in disciplines other than those mentioned above are also qualified to apply.

(iii)     All applicants will be required to show evidence of a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience preferably in a managerial position.

(iv)     Satisfy other special requirements such as qualifying examination.  In respect of (iv) above, all candidate seeking admission at the Master’s level must sit for a qualifying examination in the respective programme they  apply for.

(v)      Satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies

The programme is open to candidates’ with a good Bachelor’s (not below second class lower) degree ni Geography or other related fields from the university of Lagos or any other comparable institution. Mature candidates with Third class but with related experience may also be considered.

Candidates with at least a B.Sc degree in Geography, Surveying, or any field of Environmental or Earth related Sciences, Social, Pure, Applied and Medical Sciences, Engineering and Business Administration, with at least a second class (lower) Division from the university of Lagos or any recognised University are qualified to apply for the programme, Candidates with a third class and at least 3 years of working experience may also be considered.

Candidates with at least a B.Sc. degree in Geography, Surveying,or any field of Environmental or Earth related sciences,social,pure, applied and Medical Science, Engineering and Business Administration, with at least a second class lower division from the University of Lagos or any other recognised university are qualified for admission. Graduates of Arts with cognate experience in transport and Logistics related fields may also be considered. Candidates with a Third Class and with at least 3 years work experience may also be considered.

The programme is open to candidates who possess a first degree with honours from the University of Lagos or any other recognized University in any of the fields of Human, Social or Natural Sciences such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Sociology etc.

Candidates for admission into the programme are required to undergo a selection process.  Candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Programme (NYSC)

The Master of Public Health (MPH) programme is open to candidates who possess an MB.BS/B.DS degree of the University of Lagos or equivalent Medical or Dental degrees from any recognized University.

In addition to the above, all Candidates must have at least three years post-degree experience in Medicine or allied health fields in industry, Federal, State, or Local Government Health and Safety or Medical programmes.  Candidates for admission into the programme are required to undergo a selection process.  Candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Programme (NYSC).

(i)            Candidates must be Post-Registration Medical or Dental graduates.  The candidate may be a graduate with a
Bachelor's degree with honours in Anatomy or equivalent from this or any other University recognized by Senate.

(ii)           Candidates may be required to undergo a selection process.

Admission is open to holders of Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Physiology and Biochemistry.  Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process.

Admission Requirements:

(i)            The programme is open to candidates with Bachelor's degree with honours in Biochemistry or related disciplines of the University of Lagos or any other University approved by Senate.

(ii)           Candidates may be required to undergo a selection process.

The following options are available:

1. Medical Microbiology
2. Medical Parasitology

The programme is open to graduates in Medical Microbiology, Medical Parasitology, Medical Virology, Medical Mycology and Immunology.  The programme also open to graduates in Microbiology, Cell Biology and Genetics, Zoology, Biology, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine with a heavy bias towards the appropriate areas in which the students wish to obtain the M.Sc degree.

Admission is open to holders of:
(i)       An M.B.B.S. or its equivalent from recognized institutions, B.Sc (Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology,
Molecular Biology and related Science;

(ii)      Candidates other than M.B.B.S. holders must possess a minimum of second class upper division in related science courses with a minimum of five credits at O’level, at not more than one sitting.

(i)            Candidates who possess an MB.BS/BDS degree of the University of Lagos or equivalent Medical/Dental degrees
from any recognized University.

(ii)           Candidates will be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process.

(i)            an applicant shall be graduate of this University or any other approved University, holding honours degree in any of the following disciplines: Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biochemistry and Industrial Chemistry.

(ii)           candidates may be required to satisfy a selection process

The M. Sc. programme shall be open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with honours in Physics of the University of Lagos or equivalent qualifications of other Universities recognized by the Senate of the University of Lagos.

(i)            The programme is open to candidates with Bachelor's degree with honours in Physiology and related subjects. Candidates with professional qualifications in Medicine (MB.BS), Dentistry (BDS) or Veterinary Medicine (DVM) are also eligible.

(ii)           Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process.

(i) Candidates will be eligible for admission if they hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or its equivalent of this University or other approved University.

(ii) Candidates may also be required to satisfy the department in an oral interview or written examination or both.

Duration: 12 calendar months
(a)           Admission to this programme shall be a graduate of the University of Lagos or any other approved University, holding a degree in any of the following disciplines: Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Botany. The minimum entry requirement shall be a Second-Class Lower Division (2.2.)

(b)           Candidate will be required to undergo a selection process

(c)          Satisfy all other admission requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

Candidates for admission into M.Sc in Physiotherapy shall have:
(a)           Honour degree (B.Sc., B. Medical Rehabilitation, or B. Physiotherapy) in Physiotherapy from the University of Lagos or any other recognized University.

(b)           A minimum of two  years post-qualification working experience as a Physiotherapist in health institution recognized by the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board of Nigeria (MRTB).

(c)          The candidate must also meet the minimum admission requirements of the Postgraduate School of the University of Lagos.

(d)           In addition, candidates will be required to go through the selection process approved by the Department of Physiotherapy

(a)           The programme will be open to candidates holding the degree of B.A. or equivalent in French of the University of Lagos or any other approved University.

(b)           Candidates may be required to undergo a selection process.

(a)           This programme is open  to candidates holding the B.A. in French in at least the Second Lower Division or equivalents from reputable Universities.

(b)           Preference will be given to candidates with  relevant working experience.

(c)           Candidates may be required to take a qualifying examination or undergo a selection process.

(a)           Candidates should have a (B.A. (Hons) degree in French or a B.A. (Ed)/B.Ed French with a minimum of Second Class Lower from recognized institutions.

(b)           NYSC Discharge Certificate or a proof of exemption.

(c)           Evidence of Language Immersion programme from a recognized French Language Centre shall be indispensable.

(a)           Theatre Arts
(i)            Candidates with a Bachelor's degree with honours in Theatre or Creative Arts or a PGD in Creative Arts or Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos or any other approved University, may apply for admission into this programme.

(ii)         Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process before admission. Candidates are also expected to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

(b)           Visual Arts
(i)            Candidates with a Bachelor's degree with honours in Visual or Creative Arts or a PGD in Visual Arts or Creative
Arts from the University of Lagos or any other approved University, may apply for admission into this programme,

(ii)           Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process before admission,

(iii)          Candidates are also expected to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

(c)           Music
(i)            Candidates with a Bachelor's degree with honours in Music or Creative Arts or a PGD in Music or Creative Arts
from the University of Lagos or any other approved University, may apply for admission into this programme,

(ii)           Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process before admission,

(iii)          Candidates are also expected to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

i. A Bachelor’s degree in English (with language and or literature bias) of he University of Lagos or any other recognized University.

ii. A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics (with courses in English Language/Literature) of this University or any other recognized University.  (This category of students may be required to take some remedial courses in English  as additional requirements);

iv. A Postgraduate Diploma in English  of the University of Lagos with a minimum of 2.40 CGPA

Graduates of this University or any other recognized University who possess the B.A. degree with honours in the relevant Language or B.A. Hons. (Education) or B.Ed backed up with the relevant language as a major subject up to the final year on the undergraduate programme. Candidates who hold other qualifications approved by Senate.

(i)            Admission is open to holders of Bachelor's degree with honours in History or any related subjects of this or any other approved University.

(ii)           Candidates may be additionally required to satisfy a selection process.

(i)            Candidates for admission to M.A. Philosophy programme must be graduates with honours degrees in Philosophy of this University or any other recognized University.

(ii)           Candidates whose first degrees are not in Philosophy are only eligible for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy programme.  This means that if admitted, they will be required to spend an academic session taking prescribed core courses in Philosophy.  Their admission to the M.A. programme will depend on their satisfactory performance at the examination in the Postgraduate Diploma programme

A candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree with honours of this University or any other recognized University in any field of study. Preference will be given to candidates who hold the Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics or Political Science.

A Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with honours in Law of this University or any other recognized University. Candidates will be required to undergo a selection process.

(i)            The programme shall be open to candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering of this University of Lagos or any other approved University.

(ii)           Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a qualifying examination/selection process

Candidates must possess a degree with honours in Engineering or Science or its equivalent from the University of Lagos or any other recognized University. In addition, the prospective candidates must have at least 2 years experience in the process industry.

This programme is to last for 12 calendar months for full-time students and 24 calendar months for part-time students. Admission requiremens:
(i)            The programme shall be open to Candidates with a Bachelor's degree with honours or equivalent in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering of the University of Lagos or any other approved University.

(ii)           Candidates who have successfully completed the PGD programme in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Computer Engineering of the University of Lagos or any other approved University,

(iii)          Candidates who are prima-facie qualified under these requirements may be required to satisfy the Department in a qualifying/selection examination.

Admission requirements:
(i)            B.Sc.(Surveying and Geoinformatics) degree or equivalent of the University of Lagos or any other approved                              University.
(ii)           B.Sc degree in subject cognate to Surveying and Geoinformatics such as Mathematics, Engineering, Physical                             and Geo Sciences, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences Actuarial Science, Physics or Geography (with Mathematics) and, in addition, a postgraduate diploma in Surveying and Geoinformatics from this or from any other approved institution.

B.Sc. degree with honours in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or Geography (with Mathematics) in addition to a PGD in Surveying from approved institutions

Open to graduates in Surveying, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Geography, Town Planning, Estate Management, Forestry, Finance and Actuarial Science from approved institutions.

The following options are available:
(i)            Highway and Traffic Engineering
(ii)           Structural Engineering
(iii)          Water Resources and Environmental Engineering

Full-Time: one session, Part-Time: two sessions.

Only those who are in possession of a first degree with honours in Civil Engineering from this University or other approved Universities in Nigeria or elsewhere will be eligible for admission.

Majoring in the following Options:
             

       (a)           M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering (Applied Mechanics)
       (b)           M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering (Design and Production)
       (c)           M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering (Thermo-fluids)

1. Candidates with Bachelor's degree with honours in Mechanical Engineering from this University or any other NUC approved University may apply for admission into this programme. Candidates with degrees in Engineering disciplines other than Mechanical Engineering (as determined by the Department) may be considered for admission.  The minimum requirement for admission into this programme is Second Class (lower Division)
2. Candidates are required to satisfy the department in a qualifying examination process before admission.  The examination will be in the option chosen by the candidate.

Candidates are required to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies

(i)            B.Sc honours Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

(ii)           B.Sc honours Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Mining, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, Polymer and Textile

(iii)          Any of the Physical Sciences e.g. Engineering, Physics, Geology etc.

(i)            Graduates of the NetTel@Africa PGD Programme, who have grade point average of not less than 3.50 on a scale of 5.00 provided that such graduates have first degree backgrounds with honours in Engineering or the Physical Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Sciences), for the specialization in Engineering. All other graduates in other disciplines who meet the admission requirements for the PGD programme, and also meet the CGPA requirement, are eligible for admission into the "Management specialization" option of the M.Sc Programme.

(ii)           Graduates in any of the Engineering Disciplines, Mathematics., Physics and Computer Sciences of the University of Lagos or any other University recognized by the University of Lagos. Graduates of the Social Sciences, Humanities, Law and Business Disciplines are eligible for admission into the Management Option of the programme

(a)           Master of Environmental Design (M.E.D.) in Architecture (Full-Time)

The Master of Environmental Design programme leads to the First Professional degree in Architecture.
Admission is open only to holders of the

1. Bachelor's degree with honours in Architecture from this or any other approved University (B.Sc., B.E.S., or their equivalents).
2. Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in the selection process before admission.
3. Candidates are required to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos.

Duration: 4 Semesters of coursework and thesis project.

(b)           Master of Environmental Design (M.E.D.) in Architecture (Executive Programme) (Part-Time)

The Master of Environmental Design Executive programme leads to the First Professional degree in Architecture.
Admission is open only to holders of the

1. Bachelor's degree: B.Sc., BES in Architecture or equivalent or any recognized other University
2. Satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

Duration: 6 Semesters of coursework and thesis project.

The Candidate must:
(i)            Hold a BLA, B.Sc. (Arc.) B.Arch or its equivalent, B. Urban Design, B.FA, B.URP, B.Sc (URP), B.Sc. (Civil
Engineering), with honours degree of the University of Lagos or any other recognized University.

(ii)           Hold PGD in Environmental Design (PGDED) of this University of its equivalent.

(iii)          Satisfy the special admission requirements of the programme such as submission of portfolio of previous design works and/or interview.

(iv)          Candidates are required to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos.

Duration: 4 Semesters

The Candidate must:
(i)            Hold a first professional degree in Architecture from this University or any other recognized University (B.Arch., MED., B.Urban Design or its equivalent).

(ii)           Hold the Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Design (PGDED) of this University,

(iii)          Each candidate must submit a portfolio of design work in a convenient format, accompanied by a letter clearly certifying the candidate’s input.

 (iv)         Candidates are required to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos
 

The M.Arch. programme is a post-professional Masters degree in Advanced Research and Design. It is a studio-based research programme, designed to empower the candidate with the techniques of research as well as the ability to translate theoretical and technical principles into design skills in solving problems of the built environment. The candidate must specialize in a specific area of architectural design.

1. Admission is open only to holders of a first professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch,, M.E.D., M.Sc. or equivalent) from this or any recognized University.
2. Satisfy the special admission requirements of the Department of Architecture.
3. Each candidate must submit a portfolio of design work in a convenient format, accompanied by a letter clearly certifying the candidate’s input.

Duration: 4 Semesters

To qualify for admission to M. Sc. degree programme, a Candidate must:

(i)            Hold a professionally registerable degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Sc, M.E.D.., M. Arch) or at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building, Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying.

(ii)           All applicants may be required to satisfy a selection process.

To qualify for admission to M. Sc. degree programme, a Candidate must:

(i)            Hold a professionally registerable degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Sc, M.E.D.., M. Arch) or at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building, Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying.

(ii)           All applicants may be required to satisfy a selection process.

To qualify for admission to the M. Sc degree programme a Candidate must satisfy the following requirements:
(i)            Be a holder of the first degree of the University of Lagos in Urban and Regional Planning or its equivalent obtained from this University and any other recognized University with honours.

1. At least five (5) credit in ‘O’ Level or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and two from Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Fine Arts or Technical Drawing.
   
   
2. Satisfying all other requirements as stipulated in the regulation of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

Note: The M.Sc. programme is an academic degree.  It is not aimed at obtaining professional body accreditation.

To qualify for admission to the Masters degree programme a Candidate must hold:
(i)      Be a holder of the first degree of the University of Lagos in Urban and Regional Planning or its equivalent obtained from this University and any other recognized University with honours.

(ii)     Holders of the B.Sc degree in any of the following disciplines: Architecture, Estate Management, Building, Geography, Geography and Planning, Sociology, Forestry, Geographic Information System, and other related disciplines.

(iii)    Satisfy all other requirements as stipulated in the regulations of the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos.

Admission is open to holders of:

(i)            Bachelor's degree with honours in Building, Architecture (B.Arch, M.Sc., M.E.D., M.Arch), Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning.

(ii)           Or Higher National Diploma with Upper Credit in Building, Architecture (B.Arch, M.Sc., M.E.D., M.Arch),   Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning AND Corporate membership of (NIA, NIOB, NIESV, NIQS, NSE or NITP) or foreign equivalents.

(iii)          All Candidates must have five years post graduation experience in their respective fields.

(iv)          All Candidates are required to satisfy a selection process.

Candidates are required to :
(i)         Possess a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent with honours in Estate Management or cognate disciplines such as Urban and Regional Planning, Building and Quantity Surveying from the University of Lagos or any other
accredited University.

(ii)        Achieve satisfactory performance at an entrance examination as may be deemed necessary.

(iii)       Satisfy all other admission requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

(iv)       Candidates will be required to undergo a selection process. Corporate membership of the professional bodies e.g. Nigerian Institute of Builders (NIOB), Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP).

(v)        The Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), and the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) shall be taken into consideration.

Duration:

For candidates admitted under (i) above, the Full-Time shall be for a minimum of 12 months or 2 consecutive semesters)

(i) Candidates must possess a good B.Sc degree in Estate Management or Architecture, Building, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other discipline as may be considered relevant by the programme Committee, from University of Lagos or any other recognized University.

(ii) Possess at least three years’ post-qualification experience in their respective fields together with membership of a relevant professional body – NIA, NIESV, NIOB, NSE, NIQS or their foreign equivalens.

(iii) Sit an entrance examination as may be required  by Course Coordinator, the result of which will be used with other criteria in the selection process.

(a)           Environmental Biology
(b)           Cell and Molecular Biology
(c)           Genetic

(i)            Holder of Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of this or any other approved university in Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology and Marine Biology with at least 3rd Class.

(ii)           Candidate with a degree in Medicine, Nursing nd other related areas in Medical, Biomedical or Paramedical Sciences

(iii)          a PGD degree of the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics with a minimum of 3.0 CGPA.

(iv)          Candidate may be required to satisfy a selection process in form of written or/and oral interview or examination

(i)            Admission is open to holders of Bachelor's degree with honours in Botany, Biology, Microbiology, Agricultural Biology or any related subjects of this or any other approved University,

(ii)           Candidates may be required to satisfy a selection process

The programme is open to candidates who possess an Honours (Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology of this University or other approved Universities and satisfy all other requirements stipulated in the regulations of the School of Postgraduate Studies.  Qualifying Examination/Interview shall be administered.

(i)            Bachelor's Degree with honours in Sciences, Education  Science, Engineering, Technology, Earth
Sciences or other equivalent degree of this or any other approved University,

(ii).          Candidates may be required to satisfy a selection process.

(a)           Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management

Admission Requirements:

1. Graduates (B.Sc. Hons) in Zoology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Agric. Biology, Microbiology, Fisheries, Cell Biology and Genetics, Animal Sciences or other similar and equivalent degrees of the University of Lagos or any other approved by Senate.
2. Satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies
3. Candidates may be required to satisfy a selection process.

(b) Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Parasitology and Bioinformatics
Admission Requirements:

1. Graduates (B.Sc. Hons) in Zoology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Agric. Biology, Microbiology, Fisheries, Cell Biology and Genetics, Animal Sciences or other similar and equivalent degrees of the University of Lagos or any other approved by Senate.
2. Satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies
3. Candidates may be required to satisfy a selection process.

(c) Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Entomology and Pest Management
Admission Requirements:

1. Graduates (B.Sc. Hons) in Zoology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Agric. Biology, Microbiology, Fisheries, Cell Biology and Genetics, Animal Sciences or other similar and equivalent degrees of the University of Lagos or any other approved by Senate.
2. Satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies
3. Candidates may be required to satisfy a selection process.

(d) Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Natural Resources Conservation
Admission Requirements:

1. Graduates (B.Sc. Hons) in Zoology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Agric. Biology, Microbiology, Fisheries, Cell Biology and Genetics, Animal Sciences or other similar and equivalent degrees of the University of Lagos or any other approved by Senate.#
2. Satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies

Candidates may be required to satisfy a selection process.

(i)            The programme is open to candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree with honours from this University or any other approved University in any of the following fields: Physics, Pure Physics, Applied Physics and Geophysics.

(ii)           Available options within the programme include: Geophysics, Ionospheric Physics and Radio propagation, Solar Physics and Physics of the Lower Atmosphere.

(iii)          All candidates for admission will undergo a selection process which will include a written qualifying examination.

(a)      Master in Applied Geophysics (MAG) (Part-Time)
Available options are: Exploration Geophysics, Environmental Geophysics Engineering Geophysics, Mining     Geophysics and Hydro-Geophysics

(i)            The programme is open to candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree with at least a Second Class (lower division) honours from this University or any other approved institution in any of the following fields: Physics, Geophysics (Exploration/Environmental), Applied Geophysics, Geology, Earth Science or its equivalent from a recognized University.
(ii)           Candidates who possess a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) with  in Geophysics of the University of Lagos or any other recognized University.
(iii)          The selection process will include a qualifying examination.

(b)      Master of Science (M.Sc.) Applied Geophysics (Full-Time)
Available options are: Exploration Geophysics, Environmental Geophysics Engineering Geophysics, Mining     Geophysics and Hydro-Geophysics

(i)            The programme is open to candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class (lower division) honours from this University or any other approved University in any of the following fields:           Physics, Geophysics, Geology, Geosciences, Earth Sciences or its equivalent from a recognized University.

(ii)           Candidates who possess a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Geophysics of the University of Lagos or any     other recognized University with a CGPA of 3.00 and above.

(ii)           The selection process will include a qualifying examination.

(c)        Master of Science (M.Sc.) Geology (Full-Time)
                Available options are: Applied Geochemistry and Mineral Exploration, Sedimentary and Petroleum Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Geotechnics
(i)            The programme is open to candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class (lower division) honours from this University or any other approved University in any of the following fields,            Physics, Geophysics, Geology, Geosciences, Earth Science or its equivalent from a recognized University.
(ii)           Candidates who possess a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Geophysics of the University of Lagos or any     other recognized University with a CGPA of 3.00 and above.
(iii)          The selection process will include qualifying examination.

(iv)          Special considerations may be given to Civil Engineers with B.Sc. Honours degree of not ls than a Second   Class Lower Division for admission to the M.Sc. Engineering Geology & Geotechnics Option, provided he/she   is prepared to undergo special remedial  undergraduate courses for ONE SEMESTER (or more) before commencing the M.Sc. degree programme.

Admission Requirements:
(i)            The programme is open to candidates with honours degree or equivalent in Biological Sciences or other related disciplines of the University of Lagos or any other approved University.

(ii)           Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process before admission,

(iii)          Candidates are required to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

This programme shall be open to:
(i)            Holders of a B.Sc Hons. degree or equivalent in Computer Science of this or any approved University.

(ii)           Candidates who obtained a minimum of 3.00 GPA pass in the Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science of the University of Lagos or any other approved University.

(iii)          Candidates will be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process.

Entry requirements:
Candidates with any of the following qualifications would be considered for admission into the programme-
(i)            Bachelor's degree with honours in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology,

(ii)           Bachelor's degree with honours in other related fields besides those specified in (i) above.

A candidate must possess:
(i)            A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Statistics or Mathematics/Education with at least Second Lower Division. Also, he/she must perform satisfactorily in an oral examination to be taken in the Department,
(ii)           A Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics or Statistics of the University of Lagos with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

All applications will be required to satisfy the department in a selection process.  In addition, candidates are required to satisfy all other requirements of the Postgraduate School.

The course is open to Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree with honours in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or Science based subjects or PGD Environmental Management of this University or other approved Universities.

The course is open to Candidates who possess Bachelor's degree with honours in Chemistry of this University or other approved Universities. In special cases, non-Chemistry graduates in closely-related subjects, and Chemistry majors in Education may be considered.

The course is open to Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree with honours in Chemistry of this University or other approved Universities and satisfy all other requirements stipulated in the regulations of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

The course is open to Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree with honours in Chemistry , Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering of this University or other approved Universities. In Special cases, Chemistry majors in Education may be considered.

The programme is open to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Education (not below 2nd Class Lower) or holders of the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)/Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Administration and Planning of the University of Lagos or any other recognized university.

M. Ed. Degree:
The Department of Educational Foundations (with Educational Psychology) offers courses leading to M.Ed. in the following areas:
(a)           Educational Psychology
(b)           Guidance and Counselling
(c)           Measurement and Evaluation
(d)           Philosophy of Education
(e)           Sociology of Education
(f)            Comparative Education
(g)           Early Childhood Education

Entry Requirements:
Candidates eligible for admission should satisfy these conditions-

(i       Possess a Bachelor's degree with honours in Education from this University or any other recognized University.

(i       Possess a Bachelor's degree with honours in any other discipline, plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from this University or any other recognized University.

(iii)     In addition, perform satisfactorily in the qualifying examination.

(a)           Adult Literacy and Non-Formal Education
(b)           Community Development and Social Work Education
(c)           Manpower Training and Development Education
(d)           Adult Education Management

Admission requirement is open to candidates who possess:
(i)            The Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education of the University or other approved universities;
(ii)           A Bachelor’s Degree in Education other than Adult Education;
(iii)          A good bachelor’s Degree in disciplines other than Education with a PGDE
All candidates may be required to undergo a selection process.

Only holders degree in the areas specified above are qualified.  The required area of specialization must be indicated in the form.

(a)           Exercise Physiology

1. Candidates with Bachelor degree in HKE from University of Lagos or any other reputable University.
2. Candidates with Bachelor degree in science education after having obtained NCE in Physical and Health Education, from University of Lagos or any other reputable university.
3. Candidates who studied other related paramedical subjects at degree level.  Such as physiotherapy, Physiology, Public Health and Nursing with excellent Credit and Merit pass only.
4. Candidates with Bachelor degree in PHE, Sport Science and Health Education, or Human Kinetics and Health Education from University of Lagos or any other reputable University.

Note

Categories of candidates in (iii) may be required to do some additional Human Kinetics and Health courses as prescribed by the Department.

The following options are available: English Language, Literature in English, French, Igbo, Yoruba, Curriculum Theory, History, Religious Education (Christian or Islamic), Economics, Business Education, Geography, Social Studies, and Music Education.

Admission Requirements:
(i)            Bachelor's Degree with honours in education from the University of Lagos or any other University
approved by Senate.

(ii)           Bachelor's degree with honours in disciplines other than education, provided that such candidates
possess a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.

Candidates may be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process before admission. Candidates are also required to satisfy all other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.
