(a) Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) Physics
(i) Candidates who possess an M.Sc Physics from the University of Lagos or from any other approved University and who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5/5.0.
(ii) Candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honour in Physics from the University of aos or from any other approved University.
Candidate should indicate his/her proposed area of specialization (as in the case of M.Sc. Physics)
(b) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Physics
(i) The Ph.D. programme in Physics shall be open to holders of the M.Phil degree of equivalent in Physics of this or any other approved University with appropriate CGPA.
(ii) An M.Sc degree or equivalent in Physics, Geophysics of this or any other approved University with CGPA of between 4.00 and 5.00 on a five point in Physics or Geophysics.
Candidate should indicate his/her proposed area of specialization (as in the case of M.Sc. Physics).

(a) Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Marine Sciences or Fisheries
Candidates must hold:
(i) Either a Masters Degree of at least a CGPA of 3.50/5.0 in any of the designated specialties of Marine Sciences or Fisheries from this or any other approved University, or a First Class or Second Class Upper Division degree in Biological Sciences and related disciplines from this or any other approved University.
(ii) Satisfy the Department in a selection process and satisfy other requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.
(b) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Marine Sciences or Fisheries

- Master’s degree at the appropriate level or equivalent provided the Bachelors Degree is not below Second Class (Lower Division) Honours;
- Senate may admit to the M.Phil degree programme other persons who hold such qualifications as may from time to time be recognized by Senate.

(b) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Architecture
- A Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree in Architecture from this University or its equivalent.
- A Masers degree by coursework at the appropriate GPA level, from this or other approved University.
Satisfy all existing requirements of the regulations of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Estate Management>>
(a) Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Estate Management
The programme is available to graduates of the University of Lagos or any other accredited University who possess:
(i) A Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Estate Management.
(ii) A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree with a minimum of a Second Class (Upper Division) in Estate Management or any of Urban and Regional Planning, Building and Quantity Surveying.
In addition, candidates must submit a research proposal not exceeding 500 words on the basis of which they shall be assigned to supervisors based on merit and availability of space.
Candidates may be required to undergo a selection process.
In addition, candidates must satisfy all other admission requirements of the School of Postgraduate Studies.
(b) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Estate Management
Candidates must possess a minimum of:
- A Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree in Estate Management from the University of Lagos or other accredited Universities.
- Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Estate Management from the University of Lagos or other accredited University with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.0 on a 5-point scale.
In all cases, candidates must submit a synopsis of their proposed research at the time of application based on which they will be assigned to supervisors if considered worthy.
