Oluwayemisi Ayedun Obashoro-John is an Associate Professor and teacher of Adult Education in the Department of Adult Education in the University of Lagos, Lagos. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in French Education from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1987, a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Adult Education from the University of Lagos, Lagos in 1988 and 1995 respectively.
In 1994, she joined the staff of the University of Lagos, Institute of Education as Research Fellow. In 1998, she moved to the Department of Adult Education as a lecturer and has remained there to date. She has served in different capacities in the Faculty of Education, School of Postgraduate Studies and University.
She has written books and published articles on French Language study, Adult Education, Programme Evaluation and elderly care in reputable learned journals. She has also acquired considerable experience in the teaching of programme evaluation and Adult Education in general. She has hands-on experience in advocacy, social mobilisation, conflict prevention, resolution and management as a result of her work with NGOs and some international agencies.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (ISMN); member of International Sociological Association (ISA); United Kingdom Evaluation Society (UKES) and International Union on Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE).
